After leaving Twelfth Night, during all the subsequent bands, Geoff often took the oportunity to perform solo. He liked the variety of playing band songs with just a guitar. He would often perform support slots to bigger bands like IQ and Pendragon, who liked the idea of having a name like Geoff Mann that audiences would know but without a big support band set-up.
